Bundles for Company Stores

Bundles allow you to combine multiple, separate items on your Company Store into a single storefront ordering experience. As an example, let's say you have items which can be purchased on their own, but should also be ordered together (like a Polo, and a pair of pants for a Uniform); the Bundles functionality allows you to create an ordering experience where shoppers are required to order all items that are part of a bundle in the quantities specified. In addition to be able to specify the total quantity allowed for an item within a bundle, you can also specify what items are available within a bundle, or by itself.

Enable Bundles in Your Store

1. Access the Features tab for your store.
2. Under Features, toggle on "Bundles" and click "Close" or "Set Up Now."
   1. Clicking "Set Up Now" will take you directly to the Bundles configuration page.

Setup a Bundle

To access the Bundles Setup Page:

1. Expand Products & Categories
2. Go into Bundles
3. Click "Create Bundle"

1. On the following screen, you'll start by setting a Bundle Name (required) and this is the name of the Bundled Item under a category. 

2. To add a Bundle Thumbnail, click "Add Button Thumbnail" and drag and drop the image, or click within the upload area to select the file from your computer.

3. To add products, use the to add the item to the bundle (you can use the search bar at the top to locate specific items). Hit the to remove the item from the Bundle.

4. To set the category/primary category for Bundles, click into "Select Categories" and choose on from the list, or type out a category name if it doesn't exist to add it. Repeat this step for any additional categories you need to assign.

5. Once you have products added to the bundle, you can set the number of units the shopper has to purchase and also use the X to remove items from the Bundle.

6. For all items in a Bundle, you can indicate whether or not they should be Also standalone, or Bundle Only.

• Also standalone: This is the default setting applied when an item is included in a bundle. It means the item is also available by itself, or part of the bundle.
• Bundle Only: Turning off Also standalone converts the item to be Bundle Only. This makes it so the item is ONLY available under the bundle(s) it is a part of.

 
7. Click "Save Bundle" once finished and then your bundle is created.

Manage Existing Bundle Settings

When you have bundles that exist already, you will see them listed out with the following rows and actions available:

1. Bundle Name: Clicking this will allow you to edit the Bundle.
2. Products: This reflects the total count of products associated to the Bundle.
3. Category: This reflects all category(ies) assigned to a Bundle.
4. Total Price: This reflects the total price of all items' base prices that are a part of the Bundle.
5. Active: This is used to control whether or not the Bundle itself is active on the storefront.
6. Actions: View, Edit, and Delete.

Storefront Examples

The next section goes over how Bundles appear on the storefront Bundles page, cart page, order history, and order confirmation emails.

When viewing a Bundle of products, the shopper will see all items available. They'll indicate their selections, and hit "save and continue" after making a selection.

The shopper can then click "Add to Cart" once they have made all their selections, or click on a product card to edit the selections before adding the bundle. Clicking "Add to Cart" will add all items that are part of the Bundle to their cart.

From here, the shopper can choose to proceed through checkout, add items to their cart, edit the bundle (1), or delete the bundle (2).

The items will be bundled/grouped together in the order confirmation email the shopper receives.

If the shopper was logged in while placing their order, they would see the bundle in their order history, and can choose to re-order it.

Notes for Bundles

Q:  Can shoppers choose between multiple, separate items to make up their "bundle"?
A: No - the Bundles functionality requires you to set what items (and quantities of those items) are required to be purchased. If you indicate 1 unit for 5 different items in the Bundle, the shopper HAS to order 1 unit of each item.

Q:  Can I set a unique price for the Bundle itself?
A: The total price of items in the Bundle is based on the individual items' base prices, and any price modifier settings. Should you need to adjust the cost of a bundle item itself, we would recommend creating a dedicated category for that bundle, then setting the category price modifier to discount the Items Bundle.

Q:  Why is the "Also standalone" setting unable to be changed per bundle?
A: The Storefront Visibility settings for "Also standalone" and "Bundle only" apply to all versions of that product within each bundle. If you have ONE item that is across multiple bundles, they all share the same storefront visibility setting. (i.e. Different items within bundles can't have unique/separate storefront visibility settings).

Q:  Will inventory be deducted for items that are part of a Bundle?
A: Yes - if your items have local/store level inventory set up, the levels will change whenever items in a bundle are ordered.

Q:  Can shoppers choose between multiple, separate items to make up their "bundle"?
A: No - this functionality/feature is not available. When setting up a bundle, you are allocating the exact items, and the quantities required to be purchased by the shopper as part of ordering that bundle. The shopper can't choose which items they can purchase, or how many units of each item they can purchase for items in a bundle.
