This article walks through adding Product Personalizations, which allow the shopper to personalize their items, such as adding a name to a shirt or an address to a business card.
Product Personalizations are created at the store level and then added to the products that require a personalization.

Create a Store-Level Personalization
- Access the Products & Categories page.
- Click into the Product Personalizations section.
- Click add the New Product Personalization button.
- Title - Enter the Personalization, which will appear on the storefront.
- Price Modifier Type - If the personalization will have an upcharge, select an upcharge type of either dollar ($) or percentage (%).
- Price Modifier Value - If the personalization will have an upcharge, enter the dollar or percentage amount.
- Create - Click to create the personalization.
Add Fields to the Store-Level Personalization
Set up the fields that the user sees and enters data into on the product.
- Click the pencil (edit) icon for the personalization.
- Click into the Fields section.
- Click the New Field button.
- Label - Click directly on the Label field (which may say 'empty') to add the label of the field, which will appear on the store front. Click anywhere outside the field to save it.
- Max Length - Click directly on the maximum length of the field to modify the length of the input field. This will limit the user's input. Click anywhere outside the field to save it.
- Default Text - Click directly on the Default Text field (which may say 'empty') to enter text that will be autofilled into the field. Click anywhere outside the field to save it. Note, if the user bypasses this field, the default text will be filled in for them.
- Type - Select Text Field for a one-line input field or Text Area for a box-style input field.
- Required - Toggle on to require the user to enter data into the field. Note, if you have default text (#6 above) entered, the system will accept that as the required data.
- Actions - To delete a field, click the red trash can icon.
- Save Changes - Click to save the field changes.
Enable Personalizations for a Specific Product
Now that the Product Personalization has been added to the store, you can pull it into the products that allow for the personalization.
- Access the Product & Categories page.
- Click into the Products tab and click the pencil (edit) icon for the product to be set up (not pictured here).
- Click into the Product Personalization section.
- Click the Product Personalizations toggle to enable Personalizations for this product.
- Click the Import Personalization button.
Choose a Personalization for the Product
Select one of the store-level personalizations for this product.
- Click the Select a Personalization drop down and select one of the personalizations for this product.
- Click the Import button.
Edit Fields for the Product-Specific Personalization
Once the personalization has been added, it can be modified for this specific product, which will not change the store-level personalization.
- Click the pencil (edit) icon for the personalization.
- Click into the Fields section.
- Click the add new field button, if a new field is required.
- Label - Click directly on the Label field to modify the label of the field, which will appear on the store front. Click anywhere outside the field to save it.
- Max Length - Click directly on the maximum length of the field to modify the max length. This will limit the user's input. Click anywhere outside the field to save it.
- Default Text - Click directly on the Default Text field to modify the text that will be autofilled into the field. Click anywhere outside the field to save it. Note, if the user bypasses this field, the default text will be filled in for them.
- Type - Select from the drop down to change toText Field for a one-line input field or Text Area for a box-style input field.
- Required - Toggle on to require the user to enter data into the field. Note, if you have default text (#6 above) entered, the system will accept that as the required data.
- Actions - To delete a field, click the red trash can icon.
- Save Changes - Click to save the field changes.
Product Personalization Example
With a personalization configured, the shopper will see and be able to fill in the personalization fields.
