Verify Your FedEx Account for rate estimates in stores
FedEx is upgrading its system to a new, more secure API. To ensure your shipping operations continue without interruption, you must verify your connected FedEx account on your stores. If your account is not verified in your Company Store, you may run into issues receiving service carrier rate estimates at checkout. Your negotiated FedEx rates and authorized services will remain exactly the same.
How to Verify Your Account
When you navigate to Shipping > FedEx in your store's admin area, you will be prompted to verify your existing FedEx account. You can complete this via the provided form and by using one of two methods:
- Verification Code: A code will be sent to your registered FedEx email, phone (voice), or SMS. You might receive multiple verification pins from FedEx, in which case make sure to use the latest one and click "resend" if your code doesn't work.
- Invoice Validation: You will need your most recent FedEx invoice to provide the invoice number, date, amount, and currency and upload it on the form.
The following information will be needed to complete verification:
- FedEx Account Number
- Your Contact Information (this information must exactly match the information in your FedEx account, letter for letter)
- FedEx Shipping Address
- SmartPost Hub ID (optional/if applicable)
Then select the rate estimates you intend on offering, and choose "Enable FedEx Shipping" and save your changes. For more information on configuring FedEx in your store, please see this article.
