This tutorial will go over how to utilize the functionality for User Data Management to mass send email confirmations, mass delete users, and mass anonymize user data, Keep in mind, your mass deletion or mass anonymization cannot be undone after it has processed.

User Page Functions
1. Column Headings - Click this link to expose additional user columns. Drag and drop these column headings to the user display below.
2. Upload New Users - This feature allows for uploading multiple users at one time. Click here for more information on this feature.
3. Update Existing Users - This feature allows for updating multiple existing users at one time. Click here for more information on this feature.
4. Pencil/Edit Icon - Click this icon to edit an individual user.
5. Confirmation Email Checkbox (one checkmark) - One checkmark means a Confirmation Email has not yet been sent. Click to send the first email to this unconfirmed user.
6. Confirmation Email Checkbox (two checkmark) - Two checkmarks means a Confirmation Email has already been sent to this unconfirmed user. Click to resend a Confirmation Email.
7. Shop as User - This allows an Admin user to access the storefront as that user, which is usually used to troubleshoot shopping issues. This feature must first be enabled in order to see the icon. Click here for more information on this feature.
8. Trashcan Icon - Click here to delete a user. Deleted users cannot be restored.
9. Checkbox - Use the checkbox option to select multiple users.
10. Send Confirmation Email - This option appears after multiple users have been selected. Use this feature to send/resend Confirmation Emails to unconfirmed users.
Mass Delete Users
1. Access the Users & Groups page.
2. Click into the Users section.
3. Click the checkboxes for multiple accounts.
4. Click Delete Users at the top right of the list.
5. Read the text in the confirmation, and then check the box for I understand I am deleting multiple users and this cannot be undone .
6. Then click Confirm.
Your user deletion request will be processed and you will be notified when it has been completed.
Mass Anonymize User Data
Firstly, if you haven't already, please see this guide which goes over what is anonymized ("scrubbed") after completing this process. Additionally, you will need to reach out to us by submitting a ticket to have us activate this on your store. Once activated, you can follow the below steps to begin scrubbing user data.
1. Access the Users & Groups page.
2. Click into the Users section.
3. Click the checkboxes for multiple accounts.
4. Click Anonymize Users at the top right of the list.
5. Read the text in the confirmation, and then check the box for I understand that user & order data will be replaced with placeholder information. The users will no longer be able to login to the store or place orders and I understand this cannot be undone and will make it difficult or impossible to fulfill orders within BrightSites for the selected users.
6. Then click Confirm.
Your user anonymization request will be processed and you will be notified when it has been completed.
