Product Copy

This tutorial will go over the Product Copy feature in Bright Sites. The Product Copy feature enables the user to copy products from a supplier database or another of your organization's store. Once copied into the store, edits can be made to the product.

Another store in your organization can be enabled to appear as a catalog in Product Copy, allowing you to copy products from one store to another. For more information the Organizational Catalog Feature, click here.

Find the Products in the Catalog

First find the product or category of products within the Available Products area.

1. Access the Product & Categories page.
2. Click into the Product Copy section.
3. Click the Filters link to expand the filtering options. 
4. Search Products field - Use this search field to input a product name, vendor, or SKU.
5. Sort Products  - Use this option to sort the results.
6. Catalogs - Or click into one of the vendor catalogs to review all products for that vendor.

Add Individual Products to the Store

• Under the Store Categories section (right-hand side), open the category the products will be copied into.
• Drag and drop the category from the Available Product section (left-hand side) to the Store Categories section (right-hand side).
• Click the Copy Products button to start the copy process. 
• A message will appear: "Product Copy has Started" and when complete "Product Copy Completed Successfully".

Add a Category of Products to the Store

Using the category copy option will create a new category in the store. 

• Drag and drop a category of products from the Available Product section (left-hand side) to the Store Categories section (right-hand side).
• Click the Copy Products button to start the copy process. 
• A message will appear: "Product Copy has Started" and when complete "Product Copy Completed Successfully".

Editing Copied Products

Once the product copy is complete, the products can be edited within the Products page. Click here for more information on editing products.
