This tutorial will go over the Catalogs feature in Bright Sites. The Catalogs feature allows for selecting products from a supplier database or another of your organization's store, into the store. Once selected, a mark up can be applied to the product price but no other modification can be made to the product. If additional modification are needed, considering using the Product Copy feature instead.
Please note, if a product has Logo Locations activated in the source item, those logos won't appear on the store where the Catalog item is added.

Find the Product(s) in the Catalog
First find the product or category of products within the Available Products area.
- Access the Product & Categories page.
- Click into the Catalogs section.
- Click the filters link to expand the filtering options.
- Search Products field - Use this search field to input a product name, vendor, or SKU.
- Sort Products - Use this option to sort the results.
- Catalogs - Or click into one of the vendor catalogs to review all products for that vendor.
Add Individual Products to the Store
- Under the Store Categories section (right-hand side), open the category the products will be copied into.
- Drag and drop the category from the Available Product section (left-hand side) to the Store Categories section (right-hand side).
- Submit to save changes.
- When complete, a message will appear: "Catalog products successfully updated".

- Under the Store Categories section (right-hand side), open the category the products will be copied into.
- Drag and drop the category from the Available Product section (left-hand side) to the Store Categories section (right-hand side).
- Submit to save changes.
- When complete, a message will appear: "Catalog products successfully updated".
Adjusting the Price of a Catalog Product
The product price can now be increased or decrease. Keep in mind you can only discount products in this section by a percentage amount and that any discounts entered here only affect the base price listed and don’t apply to:
- Product options that are set up for“catalogs” products.
- Manually created products.
- Products from the original “catalogs” tab.
- Products copied into the store with the “product copy”tab.
- Click directly on the 0.00% display.
- Edit Price Modifier - Enter the price increase or decrease (e.g. enter 50 to add on 50% to the listed price, or enter -50 to discount 50% from the product’s price).
- Save the price modifier.
- Submit the product changes.
Deleting Products from Catalogs
To remove an item from under the "catalogs 2.0" tab, first expand the category the products are under and then select the red "x" on the product to remove it from appearing on the storefront.
Store Front Example
Lastly, these products will be available on the actual storefront and will be available for the user to purchase, add to their wishlist, request a quote for, and request a sample of.
