This article walks through selecting a layout for the store, including a description of each layout type.

Select the Layout for Your Store

1. Access the Design page.
2. Click into the Layouts section.
3. Each store starts with a default layout. 
4. Click Browse and install layout options to preview a new template.

View the Layout Library

To view the available templates, click Browse and install layout options (see #4 above).

1. Click to highlight the layout you want to install to your store.
2. Click Install. Note: This will not publish the layout to your store; it will only load it for preview and for you to make changes. 

Layout Options

Below is a list of layout, with a brief explanation of how they appear on the store front.  

1. Classic - Includes centered homepage image, logo in line with account links, and 5 product thumbnails per row.
2. Modern - Includes a smaller homepage image slideshow, logo area is above the left-hand navigation, and 4 product thumbnails per row.
3. Stylistic - Includes full width homepage slideshow, centered logo above category navigation, larger product thumbnails, and 3 product thumbnails per row.

Preview a New Layout

The "live" layout is the one displayed on store front. All other layouts can be used to make changes prior to making them live or just previewing the generic layout. 

1. The layout that displays live is the published layout.
2. To preview a new layout, click the drop-down option.
3. Click Preview to see this layout on the store (without making it live yet).

Additional Layout Options

1. Publish - Used to make an unpublished layout live.
2. Easy Designer - Click to customize the layout.
3. Duplicate - Make a copy of the layout. Sometimes used to modify a layout for future use.
4. Download - Download the layout into a zip file on your computer. Sometimes used to copy a layout from one store to another.
5. Delete - Permanently removes the layout from the store.  Deleted layouts cannot be restored.

To rename a layout, click the current name of a layout and it will turn into an editable field. Then make your changes and click out of the field to save them.
