Good Morning!

We have an important notice regarding your custom domain store(s) on Bright Sites. As you have heard, we will be moving data centers to the Google Cloud Platform  TONIGHT, October 12th at 8:00 p.m. MTN. After we make the move, your custom domain store(s) might be affected and require the following attention:

If you point your custom domain directly to our server's IP Address via an "A Record," you will need to update this value to 104.154.170.37. If you need assistance making this change, reach out to your domain registrar's support team for guidance.

We recommend making this change at 8:00 p.m. MTN. You can make the transition smoother by lowering the TTL of the DNS records before the change.

If you point your custom domain name via "CNAME Record," no changes need to be made.

If you have both an "A Record" and a "CNAME Record" configured for your store, then you ONLY need to adjust the "A Record" IP Address.

We have decided to make this move to ensure that we are not only meeting today's end-user demands but are improving reliability, security, scalability, and up-time for future growth. Moving to Google Cloud Platform will bring the following benefits:

Google Cloud Platform features a multi-layered secure infrastructure which means your data and your client's data is protected 24/7/365.

On-Demand Scalability
We can leverage Google Cloud's on-demand scalability to meet the fast growing needs of eCommerce and all online ordering.

Reliable High Performance Infrastructure
Google data centers are the most reliable and secure data centers in the world.

We will begin the transition TONIGHT, October 12th at 8:00 p.m. MTN. Please expect up to four hours of downtime. There will be some changes that might affect how your stores operate:

Custom Domain Stores & New IP Address Change
Our IP Address is changing. If you have a store with a custom domain name or if your store utilizes a redirect, adjustments may need to be made. We'll reach out to all custom domain accounts in a separate email or you may contact our Support Team directly at support@brightstores.com.

System Generated Emails
Along with moving data centers, we are also partnering with SendGrid to improve the deliverability of system generated emails such as order and shipping confirmations. You shouldn't notice any changes, but if you need to white-list the new email server, please let us know.

Systems Affected: Bright Sites and Bright Orders/Simple Stores Platforms 

Not Affected: Co-Store Legacy Platform

Good Morning! 

We will be performing security updates and bug fixes on the BrightStores (Co-Store) system TONIGHT, October 9th at 9:30 p.m. MTN. Expect up to four hours of downtime as we complete the maintenance.

This update only applies to the Co-Store system, it WILL NOT affect Bright Sites.
