[February 26th, 2019] Bright Sites New Features & System Updates

Good Morning! 


We're always working behind the scenes to make sure you and your clients have the best Company Store experience possible. We'll be updating the Bright Sites system to bring you more features and enhancements. Even though it probably won't take us this long, we'd like for you to plan for up to six hours of downtime on:

Tuesday, February 26th at 10:00 p.m. MTN. 

We realize maintenance windows are never fun for you or your clients, which is why we schedule outside of business hours. And, when you log in the next morning, there's a lot to be excited about

  • New! Category Banner Image*
    • You can now add a banner image to the category pages on the storefront. 
  • New! MOAS Denial Email*
    • An email will be sent to the shopper when a manager denies their order.  Generic text on the storefront has also been updated to let the shopper know they'll be notified when their order has been either approved or denied. 
  • Shipping Base Rate*
    • You now have the option to separate the shipping charge and the shipping base rate (handling fee) charge on the storefront. By default, it will still show as just one charge.  

 

  • Other Updates
    • Added Account Balance (Gift Certificate) support to ASI SmartBooks Push/Export.
    • Various bug fixes, minor updates, and security updates. 

* = Requires a theme update. If you need help updating your theme, contact our Design Team at storeart@brightstores.com

New! Coupon Type - Order & Shipping

  • Use a coupon to cover order and shipping costs. 

New! Coupon Permissions

  • Use coupon permissions to work with specific categories, products, or groups.

Micro Store Updates

  • Allow users to move freely from one Micro Store to another in the same shopping session. Requires design updates from our Design Team at storeart@brightstores.com.

Shared Address Updates

  • Choose the sorting method of Shared Addresses on checkout. 

Password Requirement Updates

  • For added security, any new password will have to include seven characters with both letters and numbers.  Additionally, session timeouts will be changed to 15 minutes for administrative accounts, as per PCI requirements. 

Other Updates

  • Improved API documentation and formatting.
  • Various bug fixes, minor updates, and security updates.

BrightStores (Co-Store)  will be updating the co-store.com SSL Certificate on Tuesday, February 19th at 10:00 p.m. MTN. If your integration or procurement system requires a copy of this certificate, please contact techteam@brightstores.com.  

 

Please note, you may need to reach out to your client to see if their procurement system or integration requires a copy of the certificate.

[March 1, 2019] Bright Sites & Bright Orders Product Catalog Updates

Good Afternoon!

We are working on updating our supplier product databases in the Bright Sites and  Bright Orders systems and would like to share some changes with you. 

The following catalogs are now available through a direct sync with PromoStandards:

  • HIT Promotional Products Catalog
  • Vantage Catalog
  • S&S Catalog
  • Gemline Catalog
     

Because we are now syncing HIT's Promotional Products Catalog and Gemline's Catalog through PromoStandards, we will be removing their previous catalogs from our system. Additionally, we will be removing any catalogs dated 2014, 2015, and 2016 on Friday, March 1st. This is an effort to clean up our database and maintain the most current products and product options for you to use. 

If you are using products from these suppliers with our Catalog 1.0 or 2.0 feature, you will need to switch to one of the new catalogs before Friday, March 1st.
